Developed as part of a graduate thesis by a Chilean based designer the Geurrero Mantis project uses dyed cigarette butts picked from bars, streets, and restaurants.

We found this item on Etsy, made by Gaye Abandon, based out of Melbourne Australia. Scrap pieces of cut up sweaters (used for their other projects) were stitched together into this appealing and unique scarf. A truly beautiful form!

Recycled Polar Bear Rug: A Blanket Statement

Lise Lefebvre made this faux polar bear rug from recycled wool blankets. These traditionally woven Dutch blankets are being replaced by modern manufactured goods and can often found in thrift stores in the Netherlands where Lise does her work.
