Max McCurdo restores and recycles unwanted products into new and well-designed objects, from bathtub couches to washing-machine drum coffee tables. Similar to the work of Ramon Coronado, this cool reinvented shopping cart chair is another great upcycled piece by McCurdo’s company, Reestore.

As a crafty business owner, packing tape is just a fact of life. I try to use as little as possible at a time, but when you’re packing and shipping orders, tape is just part of the process. What always stumped me was what to do with those cardboard tubes left over when the tape was gone. While we were in San Francisco last week, my friend and I decided to visit the Walt Disney Family Museum. Hokey, I know, but my husband and I are sort of obsessed with mid-century design, and those old Disney illustrations really inspire me! Who knew that we’d run across awesome upcycling inspiration while we were there?

Succulents are a great way to add green to small spaces. They don’t need a lot of space to grow, and they’re low maintenance, too! So, of course, I swooned when I ran across this gorgeous, outdoor table featuring a built in succulent mini-garden.
