Postcarden: From Greeting Card to Edible Garden
Oh, greeting cards! You make us feel so torn. Yes, conventional greeting cards have a super-short lifespan, but there’s something about getting a card in the mail for special occasions.

Bernina, a popular sewing machine company is no stranger to sewing for a good cause. Now, they've launched a community to help even more seamstresses connect with charities in need: We All Sew.
The gifts are unwrapped, the out of town guests have made their way home, and you’re probably staring at a mountain of gift wrap and cards feeling a bit of the old green guilt. Don’t you fret! With just a little crafty love, you can keep the spoils of Christmas day out of the bin!
Nothing’s greener than getting your mend on. Of course it’s easy to do the conventional fix, like sewing up a torn seam. Sometimes, though, it’s fun to take a peek at some more creative solutions. Rather than head to the flower shop, I decided to head to my gigantic scrap bin and make her a pretty bouquet that would last longer than a live one and was more personal to boot!
When there's something in the house that starts to look a little ragged, it's hard to resist the call of IKEA. It's so easy to hit up that Swedish wonderland and replace an aging piece on the cheap. Rather than send that beat up old trunk to the landfill, it's pretty easy and fun to make your own, handmade cover!
