On Wednesday we talked about an awesome new roofing concept that could improve quality of live in the developing world and tackle some of the plastic bottle pollution, but what about those empty plastic bottles we’re generating over here? Recycling plastic is OK, but reusing is always more efficient. Check out these plastic bottle crafts to keep some of that single use plastic out of your bin!

They don’t call this season “fall” for nothin’! If your neighborhood is anything like mine, chances are downed leaves and branches are covering the streets and sidewalks. You can wait for the city to take care of that fall debris, or you can gather up some of those sticks and twigs and get crafty!

Does your town recycle metal bottlecaps? Some cities do, but not all. Even if your city’s recycling program does accept metal bottlecaps, it takes energy to transport them to the recycling facility and to turn them into new metal products. Next time you’ve had a few beers, stash those bottlecaps and try out some of these bottlecap crafts!
