We’re all about simple, green alternatives to disposables around here. Not only do these apple cider cups fit that bill, they’re seasonal, too!

These look incredibly easy to make and perfect for any Fall-themed shindig.
The super-savvy Red Dirt Mother just cut the tops off of apples that she and her kiddos had picked and used a melon baller to hollow them out. She included cinnamon sticks to stir and sip, which I just think is genius!
Don’t fret about wasting those apple innards! You can press them to make some home made apple juice or even cook it up to make applesauce. I bet the scooped apple would be nice on top of a hearty Fall salad, too!
The project reminds me of something a friend did to decorate a party not too long ago. She used a melon baller to scoop the insides out of miniature pumpkins and dropped tea lights inside! You could use the same method to make pretty little candy dishes, like these on Better Homes and Gardens. So simple and brilliant!
