As summer is wrapping up I've been running around crazy so I haven't had a chance to connect with last week's #ecomonday recommendations to get their picks for this week so I'm going to resort to some shameful self-promotion. This week I'm going to recommend you follow the Twitter accounts for two projects that we are working on @treehumper (treehumper.org), @earthindustry (earthandindustry.com) and @amazonpilgrim (amazonpilgrim.com). They cover very different areas of sustainability with @earthindustry focusing on the very serious issues facing business owners and @treehumper holding irreverance above all else, and @amazonpilgrim chonicalling his personal adventure...
@Treehumper
Do you love mother nature SOOOO much that you find yourself spending an inordinate amount of time reading about her on the internet? SOOOO much that you hang pictures of mother nature up around your house even though she probably doesn't even remember the one time you met at Yosemite last summer? SOOOO much that you find youself getting drunk by yourself and crying over the photo album of that hike you took at at Yosemite while listening to Boys II Men cd on repeat? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you could use a healthy dose of environmental irreverance. Don't Facebook stalk mother nature, just follow @treehumper on Twitter!
@EarthIndustry
Earth & Industry explores the intersection between business and the environment and contends that they do not have to be competing interests. @earthindustry recognizes the importance of industries involvement in the environmental movement and they are leading the conversation about sustainable business by focusing on news and information that is relavant to business owners that value people, profit and the planet. @earthindustry right now mostly tweets posts from earthandindustry.com and RTs great green business tweets from around the Twittersphere.
@AmazonPilgrim
@AmazonPilgrim is our own Doug Gunzelmann's Twitter account where he is chronicalling his Amazon Expedition. Doug is riding across the Transamazonican highway to help raise awareness for environmental conservation and sustainable business practices in that region of the world. Right now he is chronically his preperations for the trip but once his bike hits the road he'll be tweeting his adventures via BGAN satellite modem.
