Today we'd like to say Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there.  We'd also like to highlight some Green Daddy Bloggers.  There is a whole army of Mommy bloggers giving us tips about how to be good, green guardians, but Father's writing on the same topic are a little harder to find.  Here's are three paternally green sites worth reading and the dads the run them...

Natural Papa by Derek Markham

Besides writing for us, Derek is the co-publisher of Twilight Earth and Eco Tech Daily, a writer for Green Options and Natural Papa, where he writes about natural parenting (and some off topic posts like his frustration with AT&T customer service... I feel your pain Derek).

I’m a husband, a father, and a carrier of things.

I think peanut butter on anything is great.

I love big mountains and little kids, ’cause they make me smile, and I drink a double americano almost every day.

Things I dig include: simple living, natural fatherhood, attachment parenting, natural building, unassisted childbirth, bicycles, composting (sawdust) toilets, organic and biodynamic gardening, vegan peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips, and the blues.

We support local food production, starting with our own garden. We are also regulars at the farmers market and our local food co-op, buying in bulk for the best prices. The dream of the homestead is still alive for us and our self-sufficient zero-energy input green home is being planned. Our permaculture oasis is a sustainable small-scale village.
Single-speed bicycles, drumming, and DIY anything can really make me grin.

Green Dad's Blog by Brian & Steven

Brian & Steven are a gay couple raising their adopted son Darius.  On Green Dads they chronicle their daily lives and their unique challenges and experiences as a non-traditional family.  But beyond that, they post on issues relevant to all parents concerned with raising their child to inherit a greener world.
