While it is very nice looking, I have to somewhat agree with Jean.

Coffee cups aren’t recyclable, and they are often made using fresh cut wood. A thoughtful environmentalist wouldn’t need such a functional bracelet….they’d bring their own cup instead.

I agree, this is not very eco-friendly, although I wouldn’t go so far as to “shame” you. You should check out some similar bracelets that are made from recycled materials. I have seen some super cool ones made out of records but I can’t remember the name for the life of me. Maybe something that doesn’t require cutting down trees will appease the “Shaminator”.

To soften the above comments, I thought I read that the wood is leftover that would be thrown away anyway. It seems like a better alternative.
