The ConferenceBike is a radical concept: a community-building bike. Eric Staller’s invention brings people together, as it is pedaled by 7 riders sitting in a circle, with one steering while the other 6 pedal. It has been used as a corporate team-building tool, a tour bike, a way for blind people to bike, a human-powered bus, and is being used to transport employees on the Amazon.com campus in California.

“This is a revolutionary way to bring people together and I believe you will be seeing ConferenceBikes wherever you are in the coming years. Every town should have one. People need this bike! I think people are ready to get out of their cars and off their sofas and get silly!” - Eric Staller

The Quintette, another Eric Staller creation, is a 5 person ConferenceBike that handles like a sports car, with hydraulic steering and brakes, spoked wheels, fat tires and cool colors.

“The Quintette is half the weight of the ConferenceBike and a lot more hill-friendly. It’s narrow enough to ride in a bike path and fit in your garage.” - Staller

The Quintette is the streamlined model, fitting into a normal garage and costing less than the original CoBi. Quintettes are built by hand in Holland exclusively for ConferenceBike. They are available through the Dutch Bicycle Company in Massachusetts.

Eric Staller’s Urban UFOs are also definitely worth a look for both the aspiring artist and engineer.
