Concept Car Combines Human and Electric Power for an Innovative Hybrid

There’s no shortage of hybrid concept cars these days, but the GYM car has answers for two pressing issues - environmental and personal health.

A design student, Da Feng, has come up with a novel idea- a human-electric hybrid concept car that can be charged by the energy generated by the driver using the built-in exercise equipment.

The GYM Concept Car is a single seater with a lightweight magnesium alloy chassis, powered by an electric motor with plug-in charging. It contains a personal gym in the cockpit with a rowing machine, bench press, step machine, and a pull-up simulator. You can take your fitness on the road and feel good about your environmental impact with this vehicle.

The designer, a student at Coventry University in England, certainly thought outside-the-box with this idea, a multi-purpose vehicle capable of emissions-free transportation. Park one of these outside the office and watch your friends go green with envy.
Stuck in traffic? Tired of the gym and want to workout in a fresh new location? Build some muscle, burn some fat, and power your commute with the GYM Concept car!

Cool idea, but I hope you aren’t concentrating on doing the workout while driving! That could be dangerous.
