Beijing Memory Porcelain Constructed Clothing
Posted on November 15, 2008 by Doug Gunzelmann in Art, Clothes+Accessories
Li Xiaofeng is a Chinese artist that creates clothing made from stitched together pieces of chine dishware. The piece above is priced at a subtle 85,000$ and is titled Beijing Memory.
Using shards of china dating to the Qing Dynasty Li Xiaofeng creates beautifully shaped clothing sculptures (that can be actually worn).
Li Xiaofeng was born in Hubei China in 1965 and didn’t graduated from the Mural Painting Department at the Central academy of Fine Arts until 2002.
The Beijing Memory was showcased (and sold) at the Asian Contemporary Art Fair in New York City.

This is amazing. I would however view this as art and not a reasonable outfit

Totally cool! I would agree with Josh, but they are very cool as an artistic expression.
