Lotus Is Taking It Up Another Notch with the Omnivore

Remember this post: Lotus Eco-Elise: Taking Sustainability Up a Notch? Well they’re taking it up another notch with their new Omnivore research engine, which will burn a range of tradition fuel and bio-alcohol fuels. The Omnivore is the next step in the development of efficient and dynamic engines that can adapt to our changing fuel needs, adding to the fuel flexibility of their Exige 270E Tri-Fuel car.
Bio-fuels are coming in greater demand because of the cost of oil based fuels, but it’s a tough sell with the recently success of the zero emission electric sports car, the Tesla roadster. At any rate, we are in not position to rule out any renewable fuel sources at this point, not to mention everything Lotus makes kicks ass!

Now we’re talking. I would drive that in a heartbeat, provided I could fit in it.
