This is a perfect solution for that blown out tire from the morning commute… it into a belt! Velo-re furbishes beautiful belts from old bike tires. They incorporate all sorts of treads and sizes from knobby mountain tires to smooth slicks. Velo-re has two stock styles, Beltoe and Beltie, which are slick and semi-slick treads.

The smoother of the styles are the more worn out rear tires while the front tire typically retains some tread detail. However, their “one-offs” section offers bicycles tires of all tread patterns and even colors. “Tyres can be tired but don’t have to retire, that’s why they are re-tyred” says Christian Baumgartner and Bettina Galizzi who designed the belt concept. The scars give each product its own story and life from long miles on the mean streets.
