Nice work John!

I’m curious about how you make them – it looks like the bowls are made from the cutoff ends of large steel storage tanks – is that the case? Looks like the lines are too clean and straight to be from hand held plasma torch – are you cutting these with a cnc or do you build some type of template for you plasma torch to follow?

@cchiovitti: If the woodburning version is not legal where you live, you might still be able to install one with a propane or natural gas burner. Gas burning pits are safer and cleaner than wood, and the upgrade is really easy.

@Dave C.: Not so much for the BBQ, more for the fire to gather around and maybe eat your BBQ. You could cook over my firebowls, but most serious BBQ chefs want the control of a really high end gas grill.
