Inflatable Furniture From Recycled Inner Tubes

Recycoool is the name given to this almost ant-body-esque inflatable furniture design by Nir Ohayon of Israel. The bulging car inner tubes are inserted through and around the metal tube framework and inflated to fill out the shape. Nir has created tables, recliners, sofas, shelving, and benches in this manner with easily accessible, cheap, and recycled materials. The intention was to design a chair for under one hundred dollars so the the average person could enjoy this unique and appealing decor. Nir hand crafts his furniture and has given them names such as The Big Yogi, Nirvana, Master, Plata, and Golam. Recycoool will custom make furniture if you contact Nir via his website.
