The Finca Bellavista is located in the Costa Rican rain forest and it is a community where conservation and development meet. The goal of this village was to preserve 300 Acres of rain forest while providing a place for sustainable living. Units start at $50,000 and employ a slew of sustainable practices including solar and hydro power, rainwater harvesting, recycling, waste treatment as well as a set of sustainable guidelines that community members must follow.     I’m pretty sure the top photo is actually an art installation from New Harmony, Indiana. Unfortunately, it burned to the ground about a year or two ago. I don’t have the artist’s name, but I could get for you if you wish.
