While this is by no means an example of modern architecture or someone trying to get closer to nature, it is simply an amazing treehouse. Build by the Korowai and Kombai people of Indonesian New Guinea, they stand 40 ft above the ground. In this case they are actually trying to escape nature, well at least mosquitos, predators and rival tribes. For more info and some very compelling photos of the tribe check out the George Steinmetz website.

These are so great! I want to live in the one in Cavallo, it’s so beautiful. Mediterranean style is definitely one of the most desirable - where’s the realtor for these places?.
Fantastic! Once again you’ve excelled yourselves at GreenUpgrader!
I’m pretty sure the top photo is actually an art installation from New Harmony, Indiana. Unfortunately, it burned to the ground about a year or two ago. I don’t have the artist’s name, but I could get for you if you wish.
Thanks for including Falling Water. It’s nice to be reminded that being green isn’t a new idea!
