This house/cave is nestled among the rocks of the island of Cavallo, just south of Corsica in the Mediterranean. Using natural materials, the designer, Savin Couëlle wanted to make this house an extension of the sea and an out growth of the rocks. He explains…
The house is part of nature but protected…Why would you need any interior decoration?” he says. “You can have some simple furniture, if you like, with a few local fabrics as coverings. Then you have everything you could possibly need in your cave, and you can give yourself over to the greatest luxury of all: to sit in silence, relaxed and secure, watching the light on the water and listening to the waves breaking at your feet.

These are so great! I want to live in the one in Cavallo, it’s so beautiful. Mediterranean style is definitely one of the most desirable - where’s the realtor for these places?.
Fantastic! Once again you’ve excelled yourselves at GreenUpgrader!
I’m pretty sure the top photo is actually an art installation from New Harmony, Indiana. Unfortunately, it burned to the ground about a year or two ago. I don’t have the artist’s name, but I could get for you if you wish.
Thanks for including Falling Water. It’s nice to be reminded that being green isn’t a new idea!
