Vacation or Invest like an Ewok

These eco-friendly resorts look like something out of Return of the Jedi, but really they are a unique way to get away and to invest. Our Planet Retreats is creating a unique travel experience and they are funding it with $30 micro-finance shares.

The retreats consist of these Free Spirit Spheres. Each sphere houses 4 people at $12 a night. With all the other activities for an additional fee: Waterfall shower, Shark Diving, Turtle Conservation Project (swim baby turtles out to the reef, to feed each day), Trekking, Deep Sea Fishing, Bird Watching, Conservation and Humanitarian Projects, Volleyball, Crocodile tours, Bike Riding, Plunge Pools, Traditional Boat Building, Surfing, Wind Surfing, Kite Boarding…

To invest you can either choose to buy shares at $30 a share or you can buy a whole sphere for $2500. As a shareholder you will get 75% of the profits divided evenly among the shareholders. As a sphere owner you will hold 88.33 shares and have the added benefit of staying in your sphere 70% of the year, although when you are staying there, paying customers aren’t so it will affect your dividends.

The sphere’s are made from fiberglass and are designed to minimize their impact on the environment. Some will feature photovoltaic panels and solar water heating. Our Planet Retreats plans to employ locals to construct and work at the retreats. They also will rely on the locals for food and support services infusing tourist dollars into the local economy.
