DIY Reusable Bags Made From… Bags
Posted on July 21, 2008 by Matt Embrey in Bags+Briefcases, DIY
We feature reusable shopping bags all the time on greenUPGRADER and while they are an important staple in our sustainable lives, they are beginning to get boring. If you’ve seen one you’ve seen em all… except this bag (pictured on the right) that I found over at MyRecycledBags.com, which I can safely say I’ve never seen anything like it. In her most recent post RecycleCindy delves into the idea of the “Ultimate” reusable shopping bag. According to Cindy it would be made from recycled materials, strong & durable and free. Instead of trying to find this tall order, she made it. She also posted the pattern and a tutorial on her site. This was the first time I had been to My Recycled Bags and to be honest, at first I thought “A whole site about recycled bags? How much can you actually do with old plastic bags?” Apparently, a lot. Check out Cindy’s recycled plastic bag creations.

This is an interesting article. Thank you for posting it.
In general, I think it is important for individuals to take more responsibility of our earth. I found a neat website that stops postal junk mail helps the environment at the same time. Check it out: http://www.simplestop.net

I have seen bags made from recycled, plastic shopping bags and hard candy wrappers. I was thinking of giving my own old crochet needle an airing.
