Don't you just love this sweet, painted twig heart? It's part of an art challenge called daily heART!
To make this decorative piece, artist Ellen Petti just collected twigs from the yard, painted them in vibrant colors, and used electrical wire to string it all together. You could do something similar to make all kinds of fun, painted twig art! Painted twig Christmas tree, anyone?
The heart is part of a super awesome project that Petti started in January of 2011 and finished up in mid-September of this year - she started documenting the project long after it began. She wanted to challenge herself to make something every single day, even if that thing is something tiny.
I love a personal challenge, and pushing yourself to make on a daily basis is such a great way to jumpstart your creativity!
Just as this project is versatile, the idea of challenging yourself is one that you could apply to your life in so many ways. Could you try to eat something healthy every day that you've never tried before? Do one daily thing to reduce your carbon footprint or conserve water? The idea is to push yourself just a little bit and see where it takes you.
If you were going to challenge yourself to do one small thing every day, what would it be?
