Don't you love a wall calendar? Nothing keeps me organized like having my week's to-dos laid out right in front of my face. The problem with most wall calendars is that they're single use. Once the month is gone, that calendar page is landfill - or, at best, recycle bin - bound. That's why I'm loving this upcycled chalkboard door calendar!
Over at Mirabelle Press, she shares a tutorial for turning an old door that she found on the side of the road into a reclaimed wall calendar with just a bit of chalkboard paint. Doors with section details like the one she's using are pretty common, but if the reclaimed door that you've found is plainer, you can still get in on the chalkboard action! Just measure out 6-7 equally-sized rectangles, tape them off, and paint away.

It sounds like they had something of a reclaimed door windfall over at Mirabelle Press, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the other old doors that they salvaged!
Have you done any cool crafts with old doors or chalkboard paint? I'd love to hear what you're making in the comments!
