What can you make out of old paint stirrers?

We have done a lot of painting in our house in the last year and change, and every time I pick up a gallon of paint, the folks at the home improvement store manage to stick a few paint stirrers into my cart. Some of these never get used, and many of them are covered in different colors of paint. What they have in common is that they are all cluttering up one of our closets.

Instead of tossing all of those troublesome paint stirrers, you can grab some more paint, a bit of recycled felt, and a few tools and make this awesome herringbone table runner! Crafter Amanda at Ruffled painted all of her stirrers the same color, but I think using two or even a few different colors would look super festive, too!
