Sustainable Design: Graypants Scraps

Here’s a team of UPCYCLER’s with style… Seth and Jonathan of Graypants design describe themselves as, “architects incapable of keeping their collective creative vehemence at bay.” I don’t know what that means but their “Scrap” collection is a great demonstration of the ability to make beautiful, interesting, and functional things from trash…
The Scrap lights are made from salvaged pieces of cardboard. The way the light radiates through the corrugate holes casts a unique blend between shadow and light. You can buy the scrap lights here.
The scrap chair is made from layered plywood scraps that follow earlier designs made from discarded newspaper and cardboard.
Their Scrap Table is made from discarded shipping pallet slip sheets, layered to create a conspicuously unique design.
Design, recycle, upcycle

Beautiful, but not simple enough for me, lots of really hard work! I’m looking for a way to use old newspapers?
