Antique key jewelry is nothing new, but I'm loving this modern twist from crafter Sugar & Cloth. The secret ingredient? Nail polish!
Key jewelry can tend toward the gothy or the steam punk, but if that's not your aesthetic you can still turn an key into a fresh pendant. All you need to transform thrifted, salvaged, or otherwise scavenged old keys into a sweet necklace are the key, something to hang it on, and your favorite eco-friendly nail polish.
Of course, you can get even fancier and use proper jewelry-making supplies for your key necklace, but you can also hang it from a chain that you have laying around. If you don't want to shop for supplies and don't have any chains around, you can also hang your nail polish key from one strand of a t-shirt scarf.
