You know we love a good suitcase craft around here, and you know we also love to spoil our cats, so you can imagine my joy when I came across this project at Readymade that combines those loves into one super adorable project: the suitcase cat bed.
Suitcase cat beds aren't a new concept, but I really dug Readymade's clear--and sometimes hilarious--instructions. The only thing I'd change about this project is the instruction to discard the back. No way! Depending on the shape of the suitcase, there are all kinds of ways you can reuse the other half. If it's a boxy case, you can make another pet bed or turn it into an end table top. If it's rounded, turn it hard side down, drill a few holes, and bolt it to the wall for a sassy shelf! You can mount it long ways if you have lots to store or upright for more of a curio shelf.
Have you made any fun, upcycled cat beds lately? I'd love to hear your ideas in the comments!
