imageHere's a great DIY that was sent in by one of our readers (thanks Cary!).  Basically these are used tin cans that have been upcycled into this cool wall art / nick-knack organizer.  Here's how it's done...

  1. Gather up a bunch of old cans
  2. Peel the labels off and clean them with some green cleaning products
  3. Arrange them into whatever shape you like
  4. Glue them together with some green glue or hot glue.
  5. Dry and hang with a screw or two

I think it’s quite nice. Actually, I think it will help me clean out my perpetual kitchen junk drawer.

    Thanks for the post.

    its pretty dull however inspiring.
maybe poking holes in the bottom or completely cutting the bottom out then arranging some christmas lights you have lying around inside each can. then you could possibly put some sheer fabric or paper over the whole.
    vwolla! light!

this is perfect!!! i saw something similar to this with cardboard tubing and it as too complicated to hang (well, complicated for someone whose tools are all in storage right now) but i can do this and i have been looking for a way to use those cans. Score!

Wow, does it really like … stick together with just glue? I am unsure if it can hold its own weight.. What type of glue did you use?

Thanks for this great site! Very much inspiration!
