It's a little cold for seed bombs in most of the northern hemisphere right now, but I'm definitely saving this idea for spring!
Mademoiselle Chaos shared instructions for making heart-shaped seed bombs out of wildflower seeds and reclaimed newspaper. The technique reminds me of how you'd make seed paper, but this is a bit more 3D and singly purposed. You can check out the full seed bomb tute over on her site!
Seed bombs are a fun way to add a bit of color to blighted areas, but you want to bomb with caution. Don't toss your seed bombs onto private property, and don't toss them somewhere that's clearly landscaped.
Food Bombs?
Instead of just beautifying, you can even use seed bombs to be sort of a modern Johnny Appleseed!
Wildflowers are lovely, but wouldn't it be cool to make seed bombs with seeds from edibles instead of flowers? You'd want to choose fruits and veggies that are native to where you live, and of course you'd still want to bomb respectfully.
Have any of you guys made seed bombs? I've seen a ton of different methods, and I'd love to hear which one you use!
