I recently ordered some fabric from My Vintage Voice on Etsy, and I was as wowed with the packaging as with the fabric itself!
Instead of using a shipping envelope or other new packaging materials, this clever Etsian reused an empty chip bag to ship the fabrics. Don't you fret, though! My beautiful vintage florals didn't arrive covered in grease and salt. Here's what she did:
- Turned the empty bag of chips inside out
- Washed the grease and crumbs away
- Dried it thoroughly
- Wrapped up the fabric, safe and sound
Easy peasy! You could probably wash a big batch at once in a sinkful of hot, soapy water and hang them to dry in the shower to save yourself some time, if you wanted to upcycled your own chip bag packaging.
Have you guys seen any other cool examples of upcycled packaging? Share away in the comments!
