If you have a gas guzzling boat then you could be paying several hundred dollars at the pumps just to fill your tank once.  Even if you can afford the gas, can the environment?  Soon you’ll be able to leave the gas at the dock in your powered boat.  The Czeers MK1 is an all electric powered speed boat.  This carbon fiber beauty is capable of cruising at 30 knots and is powered by an 80 kw electric motor that draws it’s power from the 14 square meter photovoltaic cell laden deck.

This boat uses no oil, produces no emissions, and is super quiet.  While the MK1 is friendlier to the environment, even with your savings at the pumps, it is not likely to be so friendly to your wallet.  There is no published price but considering they unveiled it at the Millionaire Fair, it’s probably will cost a pretty penny… or two.  Luckily, the way technology spreads, it is just a matter of time before boats are a dime a dozen. See it in action (just a warning this video plays like a cheesy 90’s music video rather than an informative piece)
