Craft Recycled: Junk Mail Craft Projects [slideshow]

It feels like no matter what I do, my mailbox gets barraged with junk mail.

As soon as I get off of one company's junk mail list, fliers and offers start coming from another one. If any of you guys have had better luck, I'd love to hear more ideas on how to stop junk mail! I'd be especially grateful to hear from someone who's gotten off of the Red Plum list, because I have been trying for months!

In the meantime, rather than let all of that unnecessary paper get me down, I thought I'd round up a few projects to turn that trash into something usable and new.

    this is my first comment here.
    I work at a nursery with 3 year old kids. We practice cutting together. When i first started the job, I saw them giving the children A4 printer paper to practice snipping and cutting. that made my heart stop. So, in the following meeting, I asked everyone to get the fliers we get with newspapers or in our mail.
    This way, we saved the printer paper for other projects; we used up the excess fliers and it’s a great chance for the children to learn new vocab from the fliers.

    To get off junk mail lists – just “Return to Sender” and repost.  They will have to pay the postage and will soon get you off the list.  I have seen this done with Real Estate letters and it really did work.
