2. Paper Beads
Junk mail is perfect for making paper beads. Sure, you can use fancy paper, like in the video, but junk mail works just as well (even the glossy sort). By the time you cut your triangles and roll things up, all you'll really see are the colors. The insides of those printed security envelopes make really beautiful paper beads, too.
This is a great recycling project to do with kids, and you don't need that special roller either. A toothpick or bamboo skewer works just as well.
