Craft Recycled: Junk Mail Craft Projects [slideshow]

Junk Mail Journal

In this video, Papyrus Rex shows you how to create an upcycled journal using junk mail and water. The cover is also recycled, made from "yesterdays circular magazines, brown shopping bags, and an old polyurethane jacket." Creating handmade paper can require a lot of specialized tools, but if you've got the setup I love the idea of using discarded materials!

    this is my first comment here.
    I work at a nursery with 3 year old kids. We practice cutting together. When i first started the job, I saw them giving the children A4 printer paper to practice snipping and cutting. that made my heart stop. So, in the following meeting, I asked everyone to get the fliers we get with newspapers or in our mail.
    This way, we saved the printer paper for other projects; we used up the excess fliers and it’s a great chance for the children to learn new vocab from the fliers.

    To get off junk mail lists – just “Return to Sender” and repost.  They will have to pay the postage and will soon get you off the list.  I have seen this done with Real Estate letters and it really did work.
