Supporting small scale, handmade artists is better for the planet, especially when those artists focus on eco-friendly business practices. While buying handmade might seem like a no-brainer to many of us, not everyone immediately thinks of handmade marketplaces when they think of shopping. Thanks to a new, very exciting partnership, it's going to be easier than ever for Sprint customers to shop handmade and green!
If you're like me, you're probably not familiar with the Green ID Pack, so here's a quickie video explaining how it works:
Basically, the Green ID Pack puts green resources right at your fingertips, and that includes handmade items from Team Eco Etsy!
Team Eco Etsy is a 400 member team of Etsy sellers whose mission is to create eco-friendly handmade goods while being sustainable. Eco Etsians are committed to making products using reclaimed, recycled, organic, and upcycled materials, and they run their businesses using eco-friendly practices, as well.
Team leader Karen Lee says:
Being noticed by big Corporate America like Sprint a is a step in the right direction, not only for small businesses but also for green businesses, and we are very excited and honored by this partnership.
It's definitely a big step, and I think it's going to mean big things for Eco Etsy and for handmade in general!
Disclosure: I am an Eco Etsian and very excited to see the team thriving!
