What a great idea! and so glad you saved the frame its really nice! It must have felt satisfying to transform something ugly into something lovely.
If you don’t mind i might borrow your idea to make a to do list for my studio rather than using scraps of paper and postits.

Fun project!

BTW, homemade chalkboard paint = kinda awful. We did this for the growBot project @ 01SJ. It is a volatile mixture that dries very quickly, so you have to make it in small batches and use immediately:

It turns out pretty lumpy unless you mix *really* carefully, and that’s a no-go for chalk writing.

Our chalkboard pegboards turned out well, but it took at least 5 times as long as regular paint – overall not that worth it.
