Greenzer, the Greener Easier Way to Shop

We couldn’t agree more and that’s why we love Greenzer.com!  Greenzer is a sustainable shopping  and product comparison engine that features thousands of pre-screened products from carefully chosen merchants.  The site is a little sparse but building the database takes time because unlike other shopping engines Greenzer evaluates the products they feature to make sure they meet a minimum Green standard.  Of the products that make it onto the site, they then search for confirming data sources for the products green specs so they can assign it a Greenzer Score.  Not every product has a  Greenzer score yet, but again, this takes time because of the care they are taking to ensure the quality of the information.

Greenzer explains that the score…

aggregates leading data sources of environmental performance, information, and statistics on a variety of products and brands. Each score takes into account ratings and certifications related to both the product itself as well as the brand of the product. We aggregate the ratings and certifications from these third parties to create a 1-10 score for products in a given category.
