Can't sew? You can still whip up your very own draft dodger using a pair of knee socks that have lost their partners in the wash.
We love a draft dodger around here. Nope, I'm not talking about the card-burning kind, but the sort that goes under your door to keep chilly winds out and warm air in.
The tutorial I shared back in 2009 requires a sewing machine or, at the very least, some hand-sewing skills. It was fun to make, and we still use it on the back door, but it left you folks who don't sew kind of out in the cold.
Well, shiver no more, my non-sewing friends! The lovely Moonbeads over at Team Eco Etsy has a quick and simple tutorial for a no-sew draft dodger. All you need to make your own are two kneesocks that have lost their partners, something to stuff with, and an optional piece of ribbon or a rubber band to secure the two socks together.

Stuff the socks, slide the top of one sock inside the top of the other, and you're ready to beat the cold. Easy peasy, right? You can check out the whole tutorial over on the Team Eco Etsy blog.
What crafty ways have you come up with to keep your house cozy this winter? I'd love to hear your ideas in the comments!
