Now this is recycling that your cat can get into!  I think my cat would need a wide screen.  Unfortunately this seller is sold out but this is a great way to presuppose old non-functioning things around the house and maybe will inspire some other creative home recycling ideas.  If you have a project you’d like to share, give us a shout through the Contact Us page.

***EDIT*** One of our readers made a very good point in the comments which I’d like to reiterate here in the post:

If you attempt to do this yourself it’s important to note the large amounts of lead contained inside computer monitors and that they retain HIGH VOLTAGE long after they are retired.

So if you choose to do this make sure you are very careful removing components and clean the entire outer casing very well.

Also, the most important part of recycling is making sure the lead filled tube is disposed of properly!

Contact your township for proper disposal of toxic/electronic waste.

Other than that, marvelous idea.
