Remember The Uniform Project? Sheena Matheiken wore the same little black dress for a whole year to raise money for the Akanksha Foundation, which focuses on education for Indian children. Thanks to Sheena's efforts and that little black dress, the Uniform Project raised over $100,000 and put 273 children into school!
Now, the project is back for its second iteration. Instead of rocking that dress for another year, Sheena is challenging her readers to get involved! Each month, one reader will wear the dress and share her photos to raise money for a cause of her choice.
Their very first "pilot" launched this week with 17 year-old India, who is raising funds for Our School at Blair Grocery, a non-profit providing alternative education in New Orleans' 9th ward.
India worked with the Uniform Project to design the dress, and she'll be documenting how she decks it out each day. They have a new "pilot" wearing a little black dress for a cause each month, so stay tuned to The Uniform Project to see how things evolve.
