He took a cardboard sleeve from Starbucks for a template and traced it on to the bike tube. Then he cut it out and hand stitched up the sides using the blanket stitch. We ended up getting the insulated klean kanteens for our coffee drinking a little while after he made the bike tube coffee sleeve, so it doesn't get as much wear anymore. There are so many cool projects you can make with bike tubes (bags, wallets, coffee sleeves, jewelry, collars for dogs, ect..)and its crazy how bike shops just toss them out everyday!
