The most complete solution to the Standby Power or "Vampire Power" problem that we have seen yet. "Vampire Power" refers to the energy that is used by electronics even when they are off. Your TV, Computer, Printer… are all using energy even when they are switched off. This amounts to unnecessary use of power that raises our bills and hurts the environment. We’ve featured products that address this problem at the plug, but the GreenSwitch goes to the source. Once installed, with the flip of one switch you eliminate the power going to all non-essential outlets (you can set it up not to turn off your fridge…) and fixtures, as well as switching your thermostat to the energy efficient mode. This action is on a 30 second delay so when you leave the house you will have enough light to make your way out the door.
