Bernina, a popular sewing machine company, is no stranger to sewing for a good cause. Now, they've launched a community to help even more folks get sewing and connect with charities in need: We All Sew.
In addition to the typical tutorials and patterns that you'd find on a sewing website, Bernina's site includes a Sew to Serve section that lists charities and organizations in need of sewing help. They add new projects on a weekly basis, and there are really opportunities for seamstresses on any skill level. If you knit or crochet, there are lots of projects on there for you, too!
If you're looking for small projects, you could knit, crochet, or sew a small quilt for animals in shelters. More experienced quilters might want to help children in Tibet with full-sized blankets or piece together a recycled quit for kids in hospital. The list goes on and on, so check out Sew to Serve to find a project that's the right fit for you!
