‘Green Police’ Super Bowl Ad Touts Clean Diesel Audi A3 TDI

After teasing the with two “Green Police” commercials in the days leading up to the Super Bowl, Audi ran a spot during the game featuring a montage of environmental infractions being busted by the “Green Police.” In the Super Bowl ad, which began with a man choosing a plastic bag at the grocery store — and wishing he hadn’t — were being stopped at an eco-check point except the new ‘clean diesel’ Audi A3 TDI, which Green Police officers waved on through.

With an EPA-rated 42 mpg on the highway — the best fuel-economy of any luxury car sold in the U.S., the A3 TDI recently won Green Car Journal’s 2010 Green Car of the Year award.     I’m a green person who found the ad insanely funny. Especially at the end when the Green Police busted the two Police officers for drinking out of a Styrofoam cup.
