This delightful cocktail combines sweet, sparkling apple cider with romantic lavender for a perfect Valentine's Day drink!

So you've got your bouquet of forever flowers and that box of fair trade chocolate. Why not make your Valentine's day even more sustainable with a tasty organic libation?

This is based on a drink that my friend Ally told me about: a lovely-sounding cocktail that she had at a bar in London when she lived there years ago. The original drink used lavender infused vodka, and if you'd rather go that route, there's a handy tutorial on how to infuse your own vodka over at Crafting a Green World. Just substitute 1.5oz infused vodka in place of the booze in the recipe below.

In a highball glass filled with ice, combine:

• 1 oz. organic vodka
• 1 oz. LOFT Lavender Liquor

Top off your glass with:

• organic sparkling apple cider, like this one from Martinelli's
• a squeeze of organic lemon

Give everything a good stir, garnish with a slice of organic lemon, and serve!
